JAKARTA - The tradition of slaughtering sacrificial animals during Eid is not just a ritual of worship but has a deeper essence regarding the spirit of sharing for others.

The celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 H after this pandemic is certainly welcomed by Muslims around the world.

The slaughter of limousine sacrificial cows from Shopee Barokah was carried out right during the Eid al-Adha 1444H celebration on Thursday 29 June by the sacrificial committee from the PBNU LAZISNU in Ciganjur, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

The sacrificial meat was distributed to the students and the poor residents around the Wahid Hasyim Ciganjur Islamic Boarding School.

Previously, on Friday, June 23, 2023, the PBNU LAZISNU together with Shopee Barokah had held a handover of limousine cattle. The activity took place in the courtyard of the PBNU Building located on Jalan Kramat Raya, Number 164, Senen, Central Jakarta. The handover activity was the result of collaboration with the PBNU LAZISNU and the Shopee Barokah program.

Present at the handover were PBNU Secretary General KH Saifullah Yusuf, NU Executive Director Care-LAZISNU PBNU H Qohari Kholil, and Shopee Indonesia Head of Public Policy Radityo Triatmojo.

PBNU Secretary General KH Saifullah Yusuf positively welcomed the cooperation carried out by LAZISNU and Shopee Barokah. He said that this collaboration is very good because it can make it easier for people who want zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh, as well as qurban.

"Regarding the sacrificial animals, they will be brought and distributed to the Gus Dur Islamic boarding school in Ciganjur, Jakarta," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Ipul.

On the same occasion, the Executive Director of NU Care-LAZISNU PBNU, Qohari Cholil also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the contribution made by Shopee Barokah.

He hopes that cooperation to share kindness with others can continue to be improved in the future, not only in the momentum of qurban and fundraising for zakat, infaq and shodaqoh, but also in the form of digital training for students.

"Alhamdulillah, we pray that in the future our cooperation plan for students to digitize can be realized soon. Amen," said Qohari.
