JAKARTA - Transjakarta will soon open a new route to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) area.
Later, Transjakarta buses will serve Soetta Airport employees.

AP II President Director Mochamad Awaluddin said the presence of Transjakarta buses at Soetta Airport had been voiced by airport employees for a long time.
Therefore, Awaluddin said, his party continues to coordinate with the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTH), Transjakarta Directors, and the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) to discuss plans to implement Transjakarta operations in Soetta.

Awaludin said, Transjakarta operations in the Soetta Airport area are not specifically for airport workers. This means that the general public can also enjoy this service.
"Later (for) airport workers and for (community) the general public," he explained.
The plan is for Transjakarta to operate from 06.00 to 09.00 WIB, and 18.00 to 21.00 WIB.
As for the target, in each period of operation, 2,000 passengers are transported, both workers at Soetta Airport and the general public.
"If the response is positive and good later, we will leave it to TransJakarta to choose what kind of mode. Because there are also many types of transport vehicles. Operational hours and headways will also be recalculated later," said Awaluddin.
Transjakarta Bus Rates
Awaluddin said, for the readiness of the fleet and the amount of tariffs will be determined by BPTJ and Transjakarta.
However, Awaluddin hopes that the tariff can be the same as the current tariff in Transjakarta.
"We are waiting, but the hope of the community is the same as using Transjakarta transportation facilities, we can get the same facilities, so we can give alternatives," he said.
