JAKARTA - Although infrastructure development in Indonesia continues to increase every year, apparently it is unable to eliminate negative sentiment related to a number of business entities that are now experiencing various problems.
The problem started with the rampant corruption that occurred in the work entity itself, resulting in a state loss of trillions of rupiah.
Responding to this, the Directorate General of Construction of the Ministry of PUPR, Rachman Arief Dienaputra, said that his party would continue to coordinate with a number of other ministries/institutions to resolve cases that were befalling the business entity.
"Regarding perception, now it is actually positive. I think in general, we from the Ministry of PUPR are very concerned about this. We continue to collaborate with associations and also communicate directly with SOEs, to find out where the problem is," he told reporters, Thursday, June 15.
Rachman said, to minimize problems within the scope of the work entity, full support from the Ministry of PUPR is needed, so that in the future it can be empowered and survive.
"Well, we see, say the supply chain. We want to see what the supply chain that is now moving is like. Don't let it happen later, for example, because they have difficulty liquidity, the supply chain is also dilapidated. We need to map it and we also ask friends from the relevant Directorate General, for example from PUPR to be able to monitor properly," he said.
If in the future problems are encountered, said Rachman, his party asks to be informed so that this unfavorable condition can be overcome.
"When there are symptoms of difficulty, they can inform them. Because, projects that are running are quite strategic, there are PSN and IKN projects that we have to maintain in continuity," he said.
"I am sure that the Ministry of SOEs will not remain silent with this, we will definitely work together so that this unfavorable condition can be resolved," added Rachman.

"We have to fix negative sentiment, so that business entities that are currently struggling we can fix can continue to improve. We also continue to communicate with them 'what can we help?'. The point is, we are concerned, everything is concerned because everything belongs to the nation," he concluded.
