JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa ensured that the discussion on the revision of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning the State Capital (IKN) requested by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will be completed this year.
"The target is completed, hopefully it can be in the current session," said Suharso after being met at the Vision of Indonesia 2045 and Hope to Create a Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelago, in Jakarta, Monday, May 29.
Suharso said, there are three important points that will be revised from the IKN Law, namely regarding the authority of institutions, land, as well as financing and funding.
"So, the three things are actually (revised) and thank God we have finished, we just need to report them to the president," he said.
He ensured that the discussion on the revision of the law would be carried out by the DPR during the V trial for the 2022-2023 Session Year. He hopes that the revision of the Law can be passed before the third quarter of 2023 ends.
"Anyway, if possible, it will be in the current session, but later I will wait for the president's order. Oh yes, if possible, it will be faster than that (September 2023)," he concluded.
