JAKARTA PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BNI) has officially introduced PT Bank Hibank Indonesia as a subsidiary.
BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar said that Hibank was the result of a follow-up to the acquisition of Bank Mayora on May 18, 2021 to be later transformed into a digital bank.
"The name change is part of the commitment to transform digital banks in an effort to expand to the national MSME segment," he said in a press statement today, Friday, May 26.
According to Royke, with this transformation, it is hoped that Hibank can become a provider of digital-based integrated financial solutions, especially in the grassroots business segment.
"Of course this is a form of our contribution in efforts to build the country," he said.
Royke explained that the appointment of new management had also been carried out and it was hoped that it could strengthen the company's management structure.

He explained that the new board of directors of the bank is currently the ideal combination because it consists of professionals and expertise from various backgrounds, namely consultants, startups, fintech, and banking.

On the same occasion, Hibank President Director Jenny Wiriyanto stated that his party would strengthen its role as an ecosystem orchestra for MSMEs.
