Until May 1, The Ministry Of Manpower Recorded 2,369 Complaints Regarding THR Payments

JAKARTA - As of May 1, 2023, the Ministry of Manpower through the 2023 Religious THR Task Force Command Post (Posko Task Force) has received 2,369 complaints, consisting of 1,197 THR complaints that were not paid, 780 THR complaints that were paid were not in accordance with the provisions, and 392 late THR complaints were paid.

"The number of THR complaints that came in was 2,369 complaints with 1,529 companies reported," said Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi, quoted Monday, May 1.

Of the number of companies reported, the most are in DKI Jakarta Province with 421 companies and West Java Province with 304 companies.

"Meanwhile, there are least complaints in West Sulawesi Province where there are no complaints at all," said Anwar Sanusi.

The complaints that have been followed up to date are 375 complaints.

"A total of 375 complaints have been included in the report on the results of the Performance examination, of which 1 complaint has been issued. One and 2 complaints have been submitted as recommendations," he said.

Previously, on different occasions, the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said that companies found not to carry out their obligations according to the provisions would be subject to sanctions in two categories.

First, companies that are late in paying the THR will be fined 5 percent of the total THR that must be paid. Later the funds will be managed for the welfare of the employees concerned.

Second, do not pay the THR. Companies that take this action will receive quite harsh sanctions, ranging from written warnings from the government, restrictions on business activities, termination of business activities, to freezing the business itself.
