JAKARTA - In the midst of the recession and tech winter, many people hope that their company will not be affected. Many workers also try to stay at their place of work. However, this does not apply to Roni Wongso. A former employee excels at Bank Central Asia (BCA).

Starting his career in the BCA Development Program (BDP) in 2013, Roni Wongso managed to start a brilliant career. In 2014, he managed to get the title of MDP's best dropout in his class.

In the following year he was trusted to have an office at the BCA Wisma Asia Main Branch Office. Not stopping there, in 2016 his career was even more brilliant after winning the award as the Best Account Officer of the Small Medium Enterprise Region.

In 2017 it was trusted to be the commercial credit officer's account and in the same year he was awarded the best account officer for the commercial category area.

These achievements led Roni Wongso to promotion as Senior Account Officer. With this many achievements, of course his career has been guaranteed. But he chose the big step to leave the bank's big name.

He then founded a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), which sells household furniture and women's necessities, under the AIUEO trademark, since September 2022.

"I tried to build AIUEO from scratch. Initially I sold makeshift furniture items, had one employee concurrently with all kinds of things, now it has grown more than I planned," said the man who once won the best national account officer award in the commercial category, in his statement, Friday, March 31.

Even though many people are afraid of economic conditions, Roni Wongso actually proves that he can start his own business.

"Since it was first founded last year, only this year has passed Ramadan, and during its growth this is the first time AIUEO has been able to gather employees. Now it already has around 50 employees, even now AIUEO already has its own digital marketing division. From this tiny business, AIUEO has reached Rp. 100 million in the first three months," he continued.

With digital marketing being continuously optimized, Roni Wongso believes he can open up more jobs.

"Now I'm trying to maximize selling in various types of e-commerce and I'm also trying to use TikTok Live Streaming, which in fact really helps MSMEs like AIUEO. Hopefully in the future AIUEO will continue to grow and can be a place for those who are looking for work, or those who have just been affected by the tech winter," he concluded.
