JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said, there are 120 kilometers (KM) of toll roads that will operate ahead of Ramadan later.

"There are 120 kilometers (which will be functional ahead of Eid)," said Head of BPJT of the Ministry of PUPR Danang Parikesit to reporters, Monday, March 20.

Danang said the data had been submitted to the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK).

According to him, this was a suggestion submitted by his party. This is because not all toll roads are really 100 percent functional during Eid.

"There is something that may be functional only during the day, right, it can't be at night. So, we propose that there are more than 120 kilometers of toll roads that can be functionalized during Eid," he said.

Furthermore, Danang explained, the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) toll road is one that will be operated in the near future.

"Then, the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road, right. We can operate it for 1,2,3,4 possible. Then, Pasuruan-Probolinggo, previously, right, until West Probolinggo, now it has reached East Probolinggo," he explained.

The Head of BPJT assessed that the Probolinggo Toll Road section is one of the 100 percent completed sections this year.

"But what has really been completed is Probolinggo (toll road sections) to the Genting Interchange (IC). Then, Cisumdawu, which we hope can help the community to Kertajati, because, right, Kertajati wants to be operated by the Minister of Transportation," he concluded.
