The Ministry Of Transportation Disburses A Budget Of IDR 20 Billion For The 2023 Free Bus Homecoming

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Land Transportation is holding the 2023 Free Homecoming program.

The budget prepared is IDR 20 billion for a quota of 24,072 people and a motorbike of 900 units.

Director of Road Transportation of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Suharto said this annual program is expected to reduce the volume of motorcyclists during Eid homecoming and backflow. Thus, the risk of motorized vehicle accidents can also be reduced.

This year's budget, the Director General of Land Transportation will provide a budget allocation of Rp. 20 billion. Hopefully, it will meet the needs of the community, because later there will also be additional free homecoming by other parties," he said in a virtual press conference, Monday, March 13.

Suharto said the Ministry of Transportation provided 585 bus units with a passenger quota of 24,072 people.

In detail, a quota of homecoming flows is provided for 18,528 people, and a backflow of 5,544 people.

Meanwhile, for trucks carrying motorbikes, the Ministry of Transportation provides 30 trucks with a quota of 900 motorcycles.

The details are 15 trucks to transport 450 motors on the homecoming current and another 450 for the backflow.

Suharto said there were 28 cities Destination for homecoming and Balik this year spread across the provinces of West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, and Sumatra.

In detail, the three destination cities in West Java are Garut, Tasikmalaya, and Cirebon. Then in Central Java-DIY Province as many as 18 cities namely Solo, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Demak, Jepara, Pati, Blora, Boyolali, Klaten, Wonogiri, Purwokerto, Cilacap, Wonosobo, Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosari, and Yogyakarta.

Furthermore, five cities in East Java Province are Madiun, Surabaya, Tuban, Malang, and Tulungagung. And finally the Sumatra 2 Kota areas are Lampung and Palembang.

"Meanwhile, for the city of departure/original flow there are 8 cities, namely Solo, Cirebon, Madiun, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, Wonogiri, Yogyakarta. As for the destination for Homecoming and Balik for the transportation of motorcycles as many as five cities, namely Solo, Semarang, Purwokerto, Wonogiri, Yogyakarta," said Suharto.

The handover of motorbikes for homecoming flow activities will be carried out on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Type A Terminal Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, and will depart on Monday, April 17, 2023.

"For passenger departures, the homecoming flow will depart from 5 terminals, namely Pulogebang Jakarta Terminal, Pondok Cabe Type A Terminal South Tangerang, and Jatijajar Terminal A Depok, on April 18, 2023. Meanwhile, the Kampung Rambutan Terminal Jakarta and Poris Plawad Type A Terminal on April 19, 2023," he said.

Then, Suharto said that for the departure of the backflow of motorcycle transport on Thursday 27 April 2023 from five type A terminals, namely the cities of Solo, Semarang, Purwokerto, Wonogiri and Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile, the departure of passenger backflow on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 8 type A terminals from the hometown of departure, namely Solo, Cirebon, Madiun, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, Wonogiri, Yogyakarta.
