JAKARTA - The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto confirmed that the problems related to the Protected Paddy Land (LSD) regulations have been resolved.

"The LSD problem has been resolved and we will follow the existing spatial plans in the regions, but we will continue to supervise them", said Hadi at the National Working Meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 7.

In detail, Hadi said, several regents and mayors had held discussions regarding the spatial layout of the LSD. So, if the previous LSD layout was yellow and changes to green, it will return to yellow.

"This means that the land can still be used for other functions provided that it meets certain criteria", said Hadi.

Meanwhile, continued Hadi, if it is green, the land cannot be converted at all and if it is red it means it can be converted.

"They can still implement it by the previous spatial plan, so it doesn't change the existing plans in the region", he said.

For your information, the ATR/BPN Ministry continues to receive reports from the regions to resolve LSD spatial issues, now.

This stipulation is contained in the ATR/Head of BPN Ministerial Decree No 1589/SK-HK.02.01/XII/2021 concerning the Stipulation of LSD in eight provinces.

The eight provinces cover West Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), East Java, Bali and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

To perfect the LSD map, an Implementation Team Coordination Meeting or Controlling the Transfer of Functions of Paddy Fields took place, last August 24-25 2022.

From the results of the meeting, there were 157 incoming letters to the Ministry of ATR/BPN asking questions about LSD that was not by the Spatial Planning (RTR).

Following up on this, the Directorate General of Land and Spatial Control and Order (Ditjen PPTR) has carried out factual verification in the context of changing LSD maps in eight provinces. Currently, in general, all LSD maps in eight provinces have been completely corrected.

However, several LSD maps are still waiting for clarification and signatures from the local government.
