Prudential Committed To Increase Insurance Literacy In Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) is committed to increasing insurance literacy inclusion in the country, so that people become more empowered with insurance.

Prudential Indonesia Chief Agency Officer Rusli Chan in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, March 3, said insurance literacy inclusion in Indonesia is still low and lower than banking inclusion.

The results of the OJK National Financial Literacy and Inclusion Survey (SNLIK) in 2022, show that the Indonesian public insurance literacy index is 31.72 percent lower than banking at 49.93 percent.

The level of insurance inclusion is even lower, only reaching 16.63 percent and far below that of banking which reaches 74.03 percent.

Related to this, he also said, his party continues to improve service quality standards and professionalism of marketing staff, numbering more than 150,000 people in 2022 in order to increase the insurance literacy index in society.

"Marketers play an important role as drivers of public understanding regarding financial literacy and inclusion, especially insurance," he said, quoted from Antara.

According to him, marketers are agents of change, at the forefront of encouraging financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.

They help people to feel the benefits of being protected by insurance optimally, and have financial resilience that is firmly maintained, including facing the risks of life in the present and in the future.
