Too Much Show Off, Eko Darmanto Was Removed From Head Of Yogyakarta Customs And Excise Office

JAKARTA – The Ministry of Finance issued a firm stance by removing Eko Darmanto from his position as Head of the Yogyakarta Customs and Excise Office in relation to the alleged luxurious and ostentatious behavior.

This statement was conveyed directly by the Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) during a press conference in Jakarta.

"I have instructed the Directorate General of Customs and Excise that those concerned be relieved of their duties as soon as possible," he told reporters on Wednesday, March 1.

According to Suahasil, this decision was based on the current status of the ED which was undergoing an internal inspection process.

"Following up with further investigation and research on behavior, compatibility of assets and debts. As well as exploring ethical violations from ED," he said.

However, the process of removing ED has not yet been executed internally by the Ministry of Finance.

"Until now, not yet, but I ask immediately," said Suahasil.

On the same occasion, Director General of Customs and Excise Askolani revealed that he would immediately carry out his superior's order.

"The examination has taken place and in the near future we will form an investigation team so that it can be examined more freely," said Askolani.

As previously reported, Eko Darmanto is known to often display luxury on his personal Instagram account @eko_darmanto_bc.

Some of them are uploading photos with big motorbikes (moge) and also photos next to Cessna-type aircraft.

Recent developments show that Eko Darmanto's Instagram account can no longer be accessed via social media platforms.
