So Marketing To Foreign Investors, Mayor Of Batam: Allowing Permits Very Easy

JAKARTA - Batam Mayor, Riau Islands (Kepri) Muhammad Rudi revealed investment opportunities in the local area. This was done to a number of investors from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and China.

The meeting, which was facilitated by the Affiliation for Foreign Exchange (APPA) of the Republic of Indonesia, was attended by 30 potential investors.

Rudi said that his party is very open if investors want to invest in Batam City and will facilitate business licenses through the Online Single Submission (OSS) System.

"The process is very easy, even from the country of origin it can take care of licensing," Rudi said, quoting Antara, Saturday, February 18.

He explained that Batam City is currently building intensively. A number of road access to a number of areas have been widened for the convenience and attractiveness of Batam City.

"Hopefully with more investors entering, the people of Batam will be more prosperous," he said.

Chairman of the Indonesian AppA Amat Tantoso said that apart from foreign investors, investors from Medan were also present at the meeting.

"There are also investors from Medan, shrimp pond entrepreneurs who have successfully exported pond products to the United States," said Amat Tantoso.

He also said that investors who came to Batam City were amazed by Batam's rapid and more advanced changes.

"During the pandemic they haven't come to Batam for a long time, now they come and are shocked by the changes. They see a road being widened, interested in Batam City investing, opening a business here," he said.
