The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) continues to encourage the acceleration of the development of super priority tourism destinations, one of which is in special economic zones (SEZs) in Mandalika.

Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had instructed the Ministry of Manpower to support the development of super priority tourism destinations in the employment sector.

Following up on the instructions, Ida said his staff at the Ministry of Manpower had compiled various strategic agendas and took various concrete steps to develop the regional-based employment sector.

These various steps, continued Ida, began with the preparation of a workforce plan (RKT) and projected employment in the Mandalika Region.

This was conveyed by Ida in her remarks at the Mandalika Pujut Pesona Festival and the Mitra Meeting for Employment Expansion at the Bazar International Tourism Development Center (ITDC) Mandalika Circuit, Saturday, February 11.

In the tourism sector HR competency development sector, said Ida, the Ministry of Manpower has organized various tourism training and certification programs through the East Lombok Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP), the Central Lombok BLK UPTD, and Community Work Training Centers (BLK).

Therefore, continued Ida, his party has revitalized the East Lombok BPVP into a center for developing international standard tourism human resources, improving the quality of coaching equipment at the Central Lombok BLK UPTD, and building several Community BLKs around the Mandalika Region.

"Not only that, improving the competence of the community, especially the younger workforce around Mandalika and Lombok in general, we have and continue to organize trade programs," Ida said in an official statement written on Sunday, February 12.

In the program of handling super-riotity tourism destinations, said Ida, the implementation of the struggle in the Mandalika Region was considered successful.

"In addition to the high enthusiasm of the community, 100 percent of Australia alumni have been absorbed into the labor market, both in hotels and restaurants," he explained.

Then, said Ida, to facilitate and bring together work seekers and employers or the business world, the Ministry of Manpower has developed a Work Market Information System that can be accessed digitally or manually.

"In an offline manner, we have provided integrated employment services through the SIAPkerja Pavilion that we have established in the Mandalika Region," he said.

Ida added, for people who do not work formally and have entrepreneurial potential, the Ministry of Manpower recruits them to become Independent Workers (TKM).

Programs that are directed at expanding job opportunities are integrated entrepreneurship assistance programs, ranging from training, providing capital incentives, coaching, mentoring, incubation to business matching with buyers and capital.

This TKM is focused on the efforts needed and connected to tourism areas, such as culinary, creative industry, homestay, and other tourist services.

Ida emphasized that in the development of employment and the expansion program of work opportunities based on this area, the Ministry of Manpower has done it participatively by involving people from buffer villages.

With this community participation, program and activity plans will no longer be bottom-up top-down, according to the needs of the community and local potential.

For information, the Pesona Pujut Mandalika Festival and the Mitra Meeting for the Expansion of Work Opportunities in the Mandalika Region are strategic forums to strengthen collaboration between the central government, local governments, regional managers, business tenants in the region, village governments, and the community to jointly make this national strategic project a success and to ensure that local communities can work in it.

At this event, Jobfair Hybrid was also held, which was attended by 35 companies that provided approximately 2,630 job seekers (deeply and abroad). consisting of various business field sectors such as retail, P3MI, hospitality, restaurants, banking, Finance and SOEs.
