OJK: New Players In The Finance Industry Needs Government Attention

JAKARTA - Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) AT the Agus Sugiarto assessed that new players in the financial services industry, such as technology-based financial companies (fintech), need to be the concern of the government and every stakeholder.

In addition to new players in the financial services industry, the rapid digital development has also led to new forms of digital financial assets such as crypto assets.

"This, of course, must be a concern for every existing party and policy maker. Literacy and consumer protection are important things to continue to be encouraged and improved in the future," Agus said in a webinar A New Competitive Landscape in The Banking and Financial Sector in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 26.

The development of digital technology encourages the full change from physical contact to physical contact which also changes competition in the financial services industry.

To find out digital developments in the domestic financial industry, Agus Sugiarto also launched a book entitled Digitization: Changing the World of Financial Industry which is the second series after the issuance of the first book entitled Recognizing the Digital Economy as the basis for getting to know more about the digital economy.

This book discusses more deeply related to the digital economy, especially in the financial sector and published due to digital transformation in the financial sector that changes the entire financial industry system.

I have written a second book about the impact on digitalization on the financial industry. In this book I write a variety of new articles related to digital transformation, the emergence of new players in the fintech industry and also the emergence of digital assets in the form of crypto assets," Agus said.

In addition, various analyses regarding digital transformation and how to win competition in the digital era will be reviewed more sharply in this book.
