JAKARTA PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. siap menggelar Mandiri Investment Forum (MIR) 2023 pada 1 Februari mendatang yang disebut sebagai ajang investasi tahunan terbesar di Indonesia.

Bank Mandiri Treasury & International Banking Director Panji Irawan said the event would be attended by more than 20,000 participants from within and outside the country, including more than 500 foreign investors with a hybrid concept.

"This forum is a very strategic international-scale forum to understand how the current global and Indonesian economic conditions are," he said when giving a statement to reporters, Tuesday, January 24.

According to Panji, his party will also initiate discussions on business strategies and investments in the future in line with the strong economic prospects amidst global uncertainty that is still ongoing.

"We have the theme Prevailing Over Turbulence in line with Indonesia's optimism to continue to grow strong and be able to navigate various challenges amidst the current global economic turbulence," he said.

Panji added that this forum is also a good synergy and collaboration between investors, business actors, and policy makers in capturing growth and investment opportunities that can accelerate economic growth.

"Thousands of local and international investors will also attend MIF 2023 offline and online," he stressed.

For information, MIF 2023 is planned to be opened directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who will also provide keynote speech. In addition, a number of important names are also scheduled to fill the event, such as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia.

Then there are also the Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, as well as a number of names of domestic and foreign economists, such as Chatib Basri (Minister of Finance 2013-2014) and Farah Pandith (US policy advisor 2009-2017).
