JAKARTA - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono attended a working meeting with Commission IV of the DPR regarding the submission of a performance realization report for the 2022 period.

In his explanation, he revealed that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) managed to absorb a budget of Rp5.39 trillion or the equivalent of 98.69 percent of the Rp5.46 trillion ceiling.

He explained that the performance of the KKP included the realization of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of IDR 1.87 trillion.

"We will continue to implement five directions for marine and fishery development policies, namely expansion of conservation areas, measurable fishing, development of export-based aquaculture. Then, sustainable management of coastal areas as well as increasing human resource capacity," he added.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of Commission IV of the DPR, Sudin, appreciated the absorption of the KKP budget for the 2022 period.
