JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of the Sepaku Ring Road to support connectivity to the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan.
Head of the Task Force for the Implementation of IKN Infrastructure Development, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, said that the construction of the Sepaku Ring Road was carried out by the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) and consisted of four segments.
Segmen 1 sepanjang 1,75 km dengan biaya APBN sebesar Rp66,6 miliar diprediksi selesai pada Januari 2023. Selanjutnya, Segmen 2 sepanjang 1,85 km selesai pada November 2022 dengan nilai Rp56,6 miliar, dan Segmen 3 sepanjang 2,17 km senilai Rp63,9 miliar.
"For segment 1,2, and 3, PHO (Provisional Hand Over) is now in progress, then Segment 4 has construction work and is targeted for completion in May 2024," said Danis in his official statement, Monday, January 16.
Danis added, apart from the Sepaku Ring Road, currently 2.99 km of the West side of the Asmbu Kebangsaan Road is being built and 2.96 km of the East side of the Asmbu Kebangsaan Road.
"The West side of the National Ambu Road has been in the construction stage since September 2022 and is targeted for completion in April 2024. Meanwhile, the East side of the Asumbu Kebangsaan Road has been contracted and will soon be built with a target of completion in June 2024," he said.
Until now, road work for Segment 1,2, and 3 along 5.7 km have been completed, while segment 4 is still in the construction stage.
Meanwhile, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the development of the IKN Nusantara infrastructure was carried out in stages by carrying out the concept of the "Future Smart Forest City of Indonesia", so that it still paid attention to environmental aspects.
"In the early stages in 2022-2024, development that is a priority of the Ministry of PUPR is one of the national roads that are the main access to IKN Nusantara," he said.
