JCI In The First Week Of 2023 Down 2.42 Percent, Hangus Stock Exchange Capitalization IDR 240.87 Trillion

JAKARTA - The condition of the stock market in the first week of 2023 is still in volatility. This can be seen from the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) which fell 2.42 percent from the level of 6,850.62 to 6,684.56.

As stated in a statement from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closing trading on January 6.

In the first week of 2023, the average daily transaction frequency of the Exchange increased by 22.41 percent. The figure is 1,104,455 transactions for a week from 902,268 transactions a week earlier.

However, the average volume of Exchange transactions fell 15.04 percent to 16.45 billion shares from 19.37 billion shares at last week's close.

Likewise, the average daily transaction value of the Exchange decreased by 13.46 percent to Rp9.3 trillion from Rp10.75 trillion.

These notes also cut the Exchange market capitalization by Rp. 240.87 trillion, down 2.54 percent to Rp. 9,258.27 trillion from Rp. 9,499.14 trillion.

As for the first week of 2023, foreign investors recorded net sales of IDR 2.19 billion.
