JAKARTA - The government through the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance said that the stipulation of the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 155/PMK.04/2022 concerning Customs Provisions in the Export Sector which will apply January 1, 2023 is a more clear and firm legal umbrella for business actors.

Director of Communication and Guidance for Customs and Excise Services, Nirwala Dwi Heryanto, said the regulation was an important breakthrough in monitoring and providing export services through simplifying procedures and modernizing the system.

"Exports are one of the injection variables that play a very important role in supporting the Indonesian economy. This is expected to continue to contribute in the future," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, December 28.

According to Nirwala, PMK regulates more specific matters related to the export process of goods, such as the affirmation of provisions and mechanisms for submitting export notices of goods (PEB) which can be done regularly for certain items.

In addition, there are also provisions for export consolidation and consolidator obligations, affirming the mechanism for tracking and physical inspection of goods, the provisions for loading and transporting goods, to efforts to support the improvement of the logistics system through the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE).

"This PMK will apply January 1, 2023, and to the public, especially exporters, so that they can understand and obey the new applicable provisions," he said.

Nirwala added that his party hopes that the enactment of this regulation can provide a clear legal umbrella and convenience in exports, thus having a positive impact on accelerating logistics flow and being able to form a conducive export ecosystem.

"Let's jointly support the government in improving the economy through increasing national exports," he concluded.
