In order to prepare for Indonesia to be more resilient in facing the threat of global economic turmoil, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) seeks to maximize its role in encouraging entrepreneurs to strengthen the Indonesian economy.
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid, said the importance of maximizing domestic industries and markets so that the Indonesian economy can grow strong amid global economic turmoil.
"There are three main aspects that can be done, namely increasing digitalization in the business world, encouraging the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and accelerating the New and Renewable Energy (EBT) transition and implementing ESG," said Arsjad in a written statement, Thursday, December 15.
The adoption of digitalization and technology 4.0 in the business world, especially for MSMEs, is very important to increase efficiency and productivity. As many as 80 percent of businesses that are digitally transformed, tend to survive in economic challenges and turmoil.
To encourage this, Arsjad said his party would create several initiatives, such as Wiki Wirausaha and the KADIN Tech Hub Platform.
"Wiki Wirausaha is an online platform or platform for MSME players to gain partners, market access, or information that can grow and develop their business," he said.
"Through entrepreneurship.id, MSMEs can discuss with each other from business licensing issues to financial literacy. MSME actors can also get information about training through this platform," he added.
In addition to Wiki Wikirausaha, KADIN Indonesia also has a KADIN Tech Hub, which is a digital platform to bring together companies that have problems with the ecosystem, so that they can provide development of digital solutions that are integrated with the spirit of the collaboration economy.
To strengthen MSMEs, KADIN Indonesia will also initiate a closed-loop ecosystem partnership, namely an inherent assistance scheme from large companies to MSMEs, as well as farmers in the context of knowledge transfer & technology, expanding access to financing, providing assistance in distribution of agricultural products, and opening market access, both national and export.
This initiative has also been used as a national economic empowerment movement by President Jokowi.
"KADIN Indonesia has succeeded in implementing this inclusive closed-loop partnership in various regions. For example, in Horticulture Agriculture in Garut, this partnership has succeeded in increasing yield productivity 12-15 percent in 2021. Imagine how great the benefits will be, if this can be applied throughout the Indonesian agricultural sector," added Arsjad.
