Astra Infra An Estimated 13 Percent Traffic Increase On Toll Roads During Christmas And New Year Holidays

JAKARTA - Astra Infra estimates that there will be an increase in vehicle traffic by 13 percent in all toll roads managed during the 2022-New Year 2023 Christmas holiday period.

"We see that there will be an increase, in general all of our toll roads will experience an increase in traffic by 13 percent. This will certainly vary in each toll road section that we manage," said Chief Executive Astra Infra Solutions Ega N Boga in a virtual media meeting, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 13.

In general, the movement of Christmas-New Year, he continued, will leave many cities, but it also does not deny the possibility of tourism mobilization will occur on domestic and out-of-town toll roads.

"According to our analysis, we project that more Christmas movements will occur on D-3 Christmas or 22 December and will move until Saturday 24 December. Even at the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road point there will be an increase at Christmas," he said.

For the Semarang-Solo toll road, then Mojokerto-Kertosono, Surabaya, and Pandaan-Malang, it can be seen that the tendency occurs during the Christmas and New Year periods. Because historically the movement from Semarang to Bawen and surrounding areas occurred a lot during that period.

The density point on the Semarang-Solo toll road is expected to occur on the Bawen intersection, then for the Jombang-Mojokerto Toll Road it is estimated that there will be a congestion at the Bandar - Mengkreng Toll Exit - Mengkreng Toll Road. For the Pandaan-Malang Toll Road, the density is likely to occur at the Exit Toll Road and the Singosari underpass intersection.
