Pelindo Petikes Has Made Roadmaps Until 2025 To Become A World Class 'Player'

JAKARTA - PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP) has created a roadmap until 2025 to realize the mission of becoming a world-class player.

"SPTP targets that by 2023-2024 it will be able to have performance in line with regional players, establish various collaborations for expansion, and develop capacity and increase the presence of international transipments," said PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP) President Director Muhammad Adji in his statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 13.

Adji explained, in 2022, SPTP will focus on five areas, namely standardization of container terminal operations, digitization and systematic operations of container terminals, development of ports through strategic cooperation, optimization of hubs (main ports) and speech (fertilizer ports), and finally integrated key management accounts.

Furthermore, in the period 2023-2024, SPTP will focus on optimizing assets, and a number of strategic initiatives such as exploring the development of international shipping ports, developing container terminal business through commodity consolidation, as well as the implementation and development of ports belonging to ministries or institutions.

Then in 2025, Pelindo Terminal Petikes is expected to actively participate in global trade networks. He said, at this stage the focus of SPTP's strategic initiative is to expand regional containers through investment, seek sustainable arrangement at ports, and modernize port equipment and infrastructure.

"Our target is to show the ability of world-class companies that are consistent, prepare for aggressive investment to achieve growth in the future, and the presence of SPTP in the international transhication market," he said.

SPTP is one of four subholdings formed by Pelindo post-merger on October 1, 2021. The other three subholdings are PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik, and PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim.

Currently, SPTP manages 15 container terminals, and there are still several Pelindo branches that will be operated by SPTP in the 2023-2025 period.

This subholding also manages 12 other terminals through seven subsidiaries: PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia, PT IPC Terminal Peti Kemas, PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, PT Kaltim Kariangau Terminal, PT Prima Multi Terminal, and PT Prima Terminal Petikemas.
