Improve The Capabilities Of Industrial Human Resources, Ministry Of Industry Collaboration With Implementing Management Of Pre-Employment Card Programs

JAKARTA - The Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) collaborates with the Implementing Management of the Pre-Employment Card Program (MPPKP). This collaboration is to organize soft skill team work training in Industry.

The training took place on November 5 in a hybrid manner, attended by more than 300 participants of Education and Training 3 in 1 spread across seven Industrial Training Centers (BDI) throughout Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Padang, Makassar, Denpasar, and Yogyakarta). Especially for 3 in Jakarta Education and Training participants, they are physically present and others follow online.

The Head of BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry, Arus Gunawan, said that through the 3 in 1, Education and Training program, apart from receiving training, participants also obtained competency certificates and were immediately placed in work. The attitude and character of participants will even be formed before they enter the industrial world.

"We minimize the gap between industry labor requirements and labor skills. One of the efforts is through the implementation of the 3 in 1 Education and Training program which has been adapted to industrial needs," said Arus in Jakarta, Thursday, November 10.

In line with these efforts, the Ministry of Industry appreciates the implementation of the Pre-Employment Card program as an increase in competence (skilling, upskilling, and reskilling) of the workforce in Indonesia.

"Pre-employment card programs in synergy with various training institutions are drained in providing more than 1000 types of training in various fields since 2020," explained Arus.

The focus of training for Education and Training 3 in 1 is spread throughout the Ministry of Industry's BDI, including fibering operators, asymbling footwear operators, making written batik, game programmers, food processing operators, making batik caps, and various seaweed processing.

According to Arus, this collaboration is in line with the goals of each institution, namely creating workers who have expertise and have competitiveness in the world of work, especially those that are relevant to the needs of the industrial world.

"Hopefully with this collaboration, it is hoped that it will take steps to accelerate the recovery of conditions in all industrial sectors and accelerate steps in facing global challenges," he added.

Meanwhile, the Managing Management Director of the Pre-Employment Card Program (MPPKP) Kurniasih Suditomo said the collaboration between the government, private sector, the world of education, and the industrial world must be real in the Pre-Employment Card program.

"Of course this is an effort to improve the competence of participants in the industrial world and increase the skills of the training obtained during the 3 in 1 Education and Training," he said.

For information, the Ministry of Industry continues to strive to meet the needs of the industrial sector for the availability of competent human resources (HR). Because, supported by skilled human resources, the industrial sector will be more productive and innovative so that it can be competitive.
