PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta has officially opened and socialized the Surya Power Charging Station or Solar Charging Station in the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) I Dukuh Atas area.

This electric charging station can be used by the community to charge cellphones and electric bicycles.

TOD I Dukuh Atas is located in the middle of Duku Atas MRT Station, BNI City Airport Train Station and Sudirman Commuter Line Station.

MRT's Director of Business Development Farchard Mahfud said, there are three Solar Charging Stations spread across the Dukuh Atas TOD I area.

This electric charging station is a public facility that can be accessed by all people.

"This initiation was initiated by TOD Dukuh Atas with, the hope can be seen and felt by everyone. Considering the status of this area as one of the TOD pilot areas in Indonesia visited by people not only from Jakarta but also Jabodetabek and even other areas in Indonesia," he said when meeting in the Sudirman area, Jakara, Wednesday, November 9.

Farchard hopes that in the coming year this program will be continued and developed further. So that the impact can be felt by the community so that it can achieve the target of the government's net zero emission (NZE).

"In the future, the MRT PLN and the environmental services and the DKI Provincial Government as well as the central government can always collaborate to consistently present an environmentally friendly ecosystem to achieve NZE in 2050, and to install renewable energy infrastructure," he said.

On the same occasion, General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta, Doddy Pangaribuan, said that the Solar Charging Station can be used to charge cellphones and electric bicycles.

Doddy said that his party will continue to support businesses in developing the electricity ecosystem, one of which is by establishing a public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU). "We are very committed to providing support. Not only in the form of MRT electricity, but also other supporting in other businesses. Previously, it was conveyed for cellphone charging, it was still small. Then (in the future) for two-wheeled disbursement, maybe public electric battery exchange places for two-wheelers and even SPKLU," he said.

For your information, the Solar Charging Station is quite easy to use, because there are several electric charging options.

If people don't bring a USB charger or data cable to charge the police, they can use a wireless charger. Where the user just needs to paste the phone.

However, if the phone's power cannot be filled, there is an option to charge with a USB port.

There is also the option to fill it out using a charger adapter. So that people can still use these facilities.
