"This cooperation is also an effort to accelerate business improvement and effectiveness in both state-owned companies which can ultimately contribute to the country," said Hambra, quoted from an official statement, Tuesday, November 1.

Meanwhile, Deputy President Director of BSI Bob Tyasika Ananta said the presence of BSI as a partner bank appointed by Pelindo for a comprehensive integrated service transaction media, including through the media auto collection system and billing payments, would greatly facilitate the payment of port and non-graining services.

The BSI auto collection system and billing payment service products are sharia-based banking products developed to answer Pelindo's needs and Pelindo service users in supporting the growth of the Sharia Finance Ecosystem.

It is hoped that this product can be used and useful for Pelindo Service Users and other BSI corporate customers.

"With this collaboration, we believe that Pelindo also supports the BSI mission to encourage the progress of the Indonesian economy, especially through the sharia-based financial ecosystem. BSI hopes that this collaboration will be one of the accesses that provide convenience in terms of digitization and increase Islamic banking literacy in the Pelindo environment," said Bob.

For your information, in the early stages, cooperation to encourage the growth of the Islamic financial ecosystem in Indonesia through the maritime sector will start from Pelindo Regional I, especially ports in Aceh, namely Malahayati Branch and Lhoksumawe Branch.

The choice of Aceh as the first location for implementing this system because it has an important background from the revival of the sharia economy through the implementation of the Aceh Perda/Qonun.

So with this agreement, it becomes a new spirit for Pelindo and BSI to jointly move to build a sharia economy in the country.

Furthermore, this collaboration will gradually be implemented in other Pelindo Regions.

Previously, Pelindo and BSI's cooperation in the use of banking service products had begun and went well. This collaboration will expand to port services with a potential transaction value of IDR 28 trillion per year.
