JAKARTA - The Director General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) Rionald Silaban asked all state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to be more careful when investing, especially when investing in the property sector.

This careful step is needed because the funds obtained by several SOEs also come from the state, namely through state capital participation (PMN), which of course uses public money.

"We ask SOEs if they invest, make sure the investment is useful, because I really avoid if someone asks PMN," Rionald said at the Investor Gathering 2022 event, quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 27.

Investment in the property sector, one of which can be done by BUMN through the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN).

In 2022, the government will provide PMN to seven SOEs in the amount of IDR 38.5 trillion. This allocation is a form of government support for SOEs that are assigned for priority infrastructure development.

This is intended to increase national competitiveness and is expected to support national economic recovery as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In detail, PMN 2022 was given to PT Waskita Karya in the amount of Rp. 3 trillion to support the completion of the Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung and Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi toll roads. Then to PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) IDR 1.08 trillion to support guarantees for 19 infrastructure projects.

PT Sarana Multigriya Finanasar (SMF) was also given PMN 2022 worth IDR 2 trillion to support housing financing for low-income people (MBR) with a target of 200 thousand units (ports 25 percent). Government capital was also given to PT Adhi Karya amounting to Rp1.97 trillion for investment on the Solo-Yogyakarta-Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta-Bawen, and Regional Karian-Serpong Toll Road.

Furthermore, the state injection was given to PT Hutama Karya in the amount of Rp. 23.850 trillion to continue the construction of eight Trans Sumatra Toll Roads (JTTS), which have output for the community in the form of reducing travel time and logistics costs.

Perum Perumnas also received PMN of IDR 1.56 trillion in 2022 to increase business capacity in continuing the government's program, namely the procurement of one million houses, as well as supporting the provision of public housing for MBR.

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) also received PMN of IDR 5 trillion for the construction of electricity projects (transmission, substations, and village electricity distribution) and supported the development of five Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP), namely Lake Toba, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur, and Likupang.
