BULOG, Food Agency, And Ministry Of Transportation Collaboration Accelerating Rice Stock Equity Via Sea Toll Road

JAKARTA - Perum BULOG collaborates with the National Food Agency (NFA) and the Ministry of Transportation in the use of sea highways to accelerate distribution and equal distribution of government rice reserves. The collaboration was marked by the first shipment of rice to Aceh Province through Patimban Port in Subang, West Java, October 18. On that occasion, 10 containers of rice were dispatched with a cargo of 200 tons. After the release, NFA Head Arief Prasetyo Adi said this food delivery was a form of the government's commitment to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of food distribution in order to reduce national inflation and will continue to be carried out regularly in order to maintain the availability and stability of food throughout Indonesia, especially in border areas and outermost. "The rice sent is part of the BULOG Government Rice Reserve (CBP) which is filled from the Cirebon Branch Bulog warehouse and Indramayu Branch Bulog Warehouse, each with 100 tons. This is part of the optimization and utilization of CBP to maintain price stabilization between regions, suppress inflation, and maintain the nutritional quality of the community," said Arief, in an official statement quoted on Wednesday, October 19. Meanwhile, Director of Supply Chain and Public Service of Perum BULOG, Mokhamad Suyamto, said that BULOG appreciates the collaboration in the use of sea highways for the spread and distribution of rice stocks so that aspects of food availability throughout Indonesia can be fulfilled. "We fully support this cooperation breakthrough in order to accelerate the spread of BULOG rice stocks for the needs in all regions so that rice price stability can be maintained," said Suyamto. Director of Traffic and Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Capt. Hendri Ginting emphasized the importance of collaboration and synergy between agencies and institutions in the success of logistics distribution through the implementation of Sea Toll connectivity. "The Ministry of Transportation together with NFA and also Perum Bulog and the West Java Provincial Government ensure the stabilization of food supply and building an integrated food ecosystem from upstream to downstream.
