Start Sending Electricity Components To The Java 9 And 10 PLTU In Cilegon, Barata Indonesia Hopefully Can Contribute To Other Power Plants

SURABAYA - PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) has started sending power generation component products for the work of the National Strategic Project (PSN). Among them for the Java 9 and 10 (2x1,000 MW) Steam Power Plant (PLTU) located in Banten.

President Director of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Bobby Sumardiat Atmosudirjo explained, in the PLTU project, his party worked on the main components of the steam turbine consisting of 4 Outer Casing Low Pressure (LP) units and 2x4 condensor modules.

"Barata Indonesia is also proud that the Turbin Component Factory of the Cilegon Generation Division has been given the opportunity to participate in the national strategic power plant project," he said in a statement quoted by Antara, Friday, October 7.

The completion of this work, he said, is proof of our commitment as a manufacturing SOE in providing highly competitive integrated solutions and technologies with high local content.

Furthermore, he also welcomed the trust given by the national company to work on national power generation components. Because, he said, Barata Indonesia is used to working on projects for foreign power plants.

Therefore Bobby hopes that the trust given by the national company this time can be transmitted to projects at other national power plants.

Bobby appreciated the turbine component factory which has consistently been a competency center for large-scale power generation components for more than 25 years.

"Our competence in the manufacturing sector of the power plant component is also accompanied by TKDN certification for the product of the power generation component, both for LP Inner Casing products, LP Outer Casing, blaze ring to condenser. We have regularly produced and exported products to foreign countries," he said.

Previously Barata Indonesia also penetrated the global market by exporting the components of the "Smart Energy Center" power generation with a capacity of 570 MW owned by a South Korean company, SK Hynix located on Cheongju, and the Ulsan Gas Fired Combined - Cycle Power Plant 1,122 MW owned by SK Ltd.
