Revitalize Mataram Cakranegara Market Telan Rp15 M, Allocation From The TP Fund Of The Ministry Of Trade

MATARAM - Head of the Mataram City Trade Office (Disdag) Uun Pujianto said the revitalization of the Cakranegara Market cost Rp15 billion.

The Rp15 billion budget comes from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade's supporting duties (TP).

"The decree on the determination of the TP funds is scheduled for November 2022, for the implementation of physical revitalization activities in 2023," said Head of the Mataram City Trade Office (Disdag) Uun Pujianto as quoted by Antara, Monday, October 3.

According to him, the revitalization of the Cakranegara Market will be carried out thoroughly until it is completed by optimizing the market booth on the second floor.

The basic food traders, convection, and others will occupy the second floor of the Cakranegara Market, so that vehicle parking can enter and no longer use the edge or road.

"So far, the existence of the Cakranegara Market seems narrow and even chaotic because of parking vehicles on the road," he said.

Vehicles parked on the road, he added, also had an impact on congestion on the main road where the area should have been sterile from roadside parking.

"Therefore, we hope that in 2023 the structuring activities can be started, so that the area can be better organized and can optimize regional income," he said.

He said, if parking has entered the market area, it can optimize revenue from parking fees, as well as traders can use more optimally on the second floor.

"Every day, the Cakranegara Market contributes around Rp. 600,000 in retribution. The hope is that after the retribution is arranged, it can increase," he concluded.
