Capture Market Opportunities, BRI Presents A State Securities Purchase Facility Through The BRImo Application

JAKARTA PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) presents the retail State Securities Purchase feature (SBN) through the official BRImo application.

BRI's Director of Consumer Business, Handayani, said this step was a follow-up to the public's enthusiasm to invest in investment instruments guaranteed by the government.

"Therefore, we bring a solution through BRImo's digital banking so that it is easily accessible to customers," he said in a press statement on Saturday, September 24.

According to Handayani, one of SBN's investment instruments, namely the SR017 Retail Series, which was marketed by the company, has succeeded in attracting public attention.

It was stated that the sales of SR017 in BRI reached Rp1.99 trillion as of September 14, 2022. The sales increased by 38 percent compared to sales of the previous series SBR011 worth Rp1.44 trillion.

We want to make optimal contributions to serve various financial needs of customers as well as to succeed in raising government funds through the sale of SBN. In the future, we will continue to take more initiatives so that it can provide more economic value for all levels of society," he said.

In addition to the increase in sales value, the number of SBN SR017 investors continues to grow. BRI noted that there was an increase in the number of SR017 to 15 percent investors compared to the previous series SR011.

In detail, Handayani explained that sales of SR017 increased in the millennial and Gen-Z investors segments to 35 percent.

"The high interest of millennial and Gen-Z investors in investing in government-owned financial products is also driven by a fast, sophisticated, and secure purchase process through digital applications," he stressed.

For information, SR017 offers a fixed yield of 5.9 percent (fixed). The government allocated SR017 proceeds to finance the state budget, including the construction of infrastructure projects in Indonesia and expanding the base of domestic investors.

Meanwhile, BRImo's digital banking has more than 100 features and is connected to various aggregators/biters. By the end of August 2022, BRImo users had reached 20 million users, with transaction volume reaching Rp1,567 trillion or growing 117 percent year on year (yoy).
