Government Back Auction WK Migas West Kampar, Take Note Of The Schedule

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has again auctioned the Migas West Kampar Working Area (WK).

The mechanism for auction is through direct offers after two months earlier included in the 2022 Phase I WK Migas Offer.

The WK West Kampar offer is an offer with the status of exploitation and a profit-sharing contract (PSC) fee recovery scheme.

The Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, hopes that through this offer, WK West Kampar can be immediately re-produced, so that it can contribute to national oil and gas production.

"WK West Kampar is located in the waters of North Sumatra and Riau, with the potential for oil and gas resources of approximately 130 million barrels of oil (MMBO). The potential of these resources is beyond the potential for existing field reserves, namely the Pendalian Field with a remaining reserves of approximately 9.6 MMBO," Tutuka said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 20.

According to Tutuka, the minimum commitment for WK West Kampar's offer consists of exploitation and exploration.

The commitment to exploitation includes a geophysical recovery study (GGRE), four development wells, five construction wells, construction of production facilities, and a commitment to production in the first year of the contract.

Meanwhile, exploration commitments in the form of G&G studies, 250 km of 2D seismic acquisition and processing, 50 km2 3Dseismic acquisition and processing, and three exploration wells.

"The government invites business entities and permanent forms of business engaged in the upstream oil and gas industry that have financial and technical capabilities, meets the requirements and basic provisions of the WK auction, and has good performance and track records to be able to participate in the WK Migas West Kampar auction," said Tutuka.

On this occasion, Tutuka also announced that the opening of access guidance was given from September 20, 2022, to October 19, 2022, a clarification forum 21 September-20 October 2022, and the submission of participation documents 20-21 October 2022 at 24.00 WIB.
