Not Only You, The Government Now Has The E-Banking Which Is Specially Supplied By BI

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara welcomed the Bank Indonesia (BI) initiative in inaugurating the Core Banking System (CBS) service to support the work of managing state finances.

Earlier I was explained by the Governor (BI) about CBS. I also received an explanation from the staff, they said this was the government's e-banking," he said at the launch ceremony today on Thursday, September 15.

According to Suahasil, this service will cover transactions with rupiah currency and foreign currency.

"Thank you for providing e-banking facilities from the central bank used by the government, not only for rupiah transactions but also for foreign exchanges," he said.

Suahasil added that the developed CBS is considered in line with the system developed by the previous Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), namely the Treasury and State Budget System (SPAN).

The SPAN itself is an application system to support system automation of existing budget users in every state/institution ministry.

Of course this is something that we will improve and can be connected to the SPAN system. The government will continue to look for ways so that SPAN can further integrate work, starting from budgeting, to implementation and implementation of the state budget," he said.

"So, with CBS, it will be a partner as well as a counterpart of our system. So once again, thank you Bank Indonesia," he continued.

To note, the Core Banking System has been agreed upon by the central bank and the government since 2020 and is starting to connect in 2021.

Through the presence of CBS, BI hopes to provide the best banking services to the government and further supports the modernization of treasury management carried out by the Ministry of Finance.

The synergy between BI and the Ministry of Finance can support the implementation of their respective duties as monetary authority and fiscal authority.
