Minister Of Manpower Ida Brings Good News, Workers In Jakarta With A Salaries Of IDR 4.7 Million Entitled To BSU

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah revealed who is entitled to wage subsidy assistance (BSU) as a form of compensation for the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM).

Ida said that this BSU recipient is not only workers who have a salary or salary of Rp. 3.5 million per month.

The criteria and requirements for prospective BSU recipients in 2022 have been determined by the Ministry of Manpower.

In the regulation that has been issued, it is explained that BSU is intended for workers or laborers with a salary of Rp. 3.5 million or the minimum wage of the province (UMP) or the district/city minimum wage (UMK).

Referring to the Minister of Manpower Regulation, said Ida, for example, the DKI Jakarta UMP is Rp. 4.7 million, workers with wages are also entitled to BSU.

"So in this regulation it is stated that those who receive it are those who have a wage of Rp. 3.5 million or the minimum wage of the province or district/city. For example, DKI Jakarta, which has a UMP of Rp. 4.7 million, then he remains entitled. Because here the provisions are worth the provincial or district/city minimum wage," he said in a virtual discussion, Tuesday, September 6.

This means that although the wages earned by workers, for example, are not IDR 3.5 million, they can still get BSU.

With a note, the wages or salaries are worth the minimum wage that has been set by the government in this case the province or district/city.

"Although the minimum wage is IDR 4.7 above IDR 3.5 million workers in DKI whose UMP is IDR 4.7 still entitled to BSU," he explained.

On this occasion, Ida also revealed that the highest number of prospective BSU recipients was based on the region.

Ida said, there are several areas such as DKI Jakarta, East Java Province and West Java Province. Then Central Java, Banten and North Sumatra.

"From this data, we can see that DKI Jakarta has the largest prospective recipients of 2,840,472," said Ida.
