MANADO - Capital market investors are still dominated by millennials and Generation Z until the August 2022 period.

"This phenomenon occurs in the world of investors nationally and in the regions," said Chief Executive of the Inarno Djajadi Capital Market, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 27.

He said nationally until August 19, 2022, the number of investors reached 9.45 million.

"The growth in the number of retail investors is also still dominated by millennials and Generation Z who are under the age of 30 years by 59.43 percent," he said.

Specifically in the North Sulawesi region, OJK noted that the number of capital market investors experienced quite encouraging growth, from the original 53,576 Single Investor Identification (SID) at the end of 2021, an increase of 27.14 percent to 68,117 SID on August 18, 2022.

With a population of 2.63 million in North Sulawesi and the number of productive ages reaching 70 percent or around 1.95 million, North Sulawesi Province still has the potential to continue to increase the number of investors in the capital market.

In the series of SEMPT 2022 in Manado, various activities were held, including media gathering, talk shows on local radio, socialization to women's communities, investment management product seminars, go public seminars, crowdfunding workshops and closed with the implementation of the 2022 Capital Market Gebyar.
