Anies Baswedan Hits Sri Mulyani, Jakarta Capital City Budget At Bank Rp7.3 Trillion: The Highest In Indonesia!

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani gave an explanation about the realization of the State Budget until July 2022.

In her presentation, Sri Mulyani had mentioned the amount of the provincial government's (provincial) budget which tends to be high in banks.

He explained that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is the area with the highest amount of budget deposits in Indonesia.

According to Sri Mulyani, the area led by Anies Baswedan has funds in the bank amounting to Rp7.33 trillion.

"Based on the province, as of July 2022, the highest nominal balance is predicted to be in DKI Jakarta Province with a value of Rp 7.33 trillion," he told reporters on Thursday evening, August 11.

Sri Mulyani added, this condition is not ideal in encouraging people's productive activities.

This is because the expenditure issued by the regional government has the potential to move the economy of a region so that the recovery momentum can be maintained.

"These are funds that are available in the banking sector and we hope that they can be used soon because there are only five months left to be able to use these funds, especially those from the central government," he said.

Meanwhile, the second and third highest positions were occupied by West Java and East Java provinces with a range of over Rp 6 trillion.

While the lowest provincial government savings are known to come from the Riau Archipelago, which amounted to Rp. 200 billion.

"Hopefully this fund can help our people improve their socio-economic status," closed the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
