JAKARTA - The Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Land Transport Organization (Organda) of West Java (Jabar) asked Pertamina to display data on any vehicles that are entitled to receive or can buy subsidized fuel oil (BBM) at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) Pertamina.
"We ask the government and Pertamina (to) display vehicles that are not entitled to use any Pertalite. Please install this as soon as possible at all gas stations in West Java," said DPD Chairperson of West Java Organda Dida Suprinda at the Appropriate Subsidy Program Socialization event, in Bandung City, reported from Antara, Monday 11 July.
Dida said the reason his party asked Pertamina to display data on any vehicles that were entitled to receive or buy subsidized fuel at gas stations was because so far his party had seen black plate vehicles above 2,000 cc instead buying subsidized fuel, such as Pertalite.
"If the current black plate is 2,000 cc and above, don't use Pertalite. So if there are still those who use it, then we ask the government and Pertamina to display vehicles that are not entitled to use any Pertalite," he said.
According to him, public transportation, urban transportation (angkot) must certainly get a share of subsidized fuel, because this is in accordance with what is mandated by the government.
"City transportation can be subsidized, it's a must. For public transportation or public transportation it is for Pertalite and Bio Solar for AKAP and AKDP buses," he said.
He said the government needed a really valid database so that subsidized fuel could be given on target.
West Java Organda, said Dida, as part of the transportation community in Indonesia, said it was ready to cooperate with Pertamina regarding the registration program for subsidized BBM users through the website, application, or registration at Pertamina gas stations.
He also expressed his gratitude to Pertamina for embracing West Java Organda in the Socialization of the Appropriate Subsidy Program and it is hoped that Pertamina can continue to involve Organda related to programs related to public transportation.
"We thank Pertamina. Alhamdulillah, this is our era of transparency so that the subsidies are right on target. I hope this is sustainable, don't just invite invitations. This must be sustainable so that we are with Pertamina," he said.
