JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially conducted a trial through the MyPertamina website in distributing Pertalite Fuel (BBM) and subsidized Solar to the public today, Friday, July 1, 2022.

In the early stages, Pertamina will conduct trials in 11 cities/regencies in West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Java, and DI Yogyakarta.

Acting Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Irto Ginting said that as many as 11 regions were selected by Pertamina by considering various aspects.

"A number of aspects considered by Pertamina are the characteristics of locations close to mining or industrial areas and infrastructure readiness. In addition, considering transportation or public transportation and also regional readiness," Irto told reporters, Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

Irto added that the trial of purchasing subsidized fuel through the MyPertamina page was only for four-wheeled vehicles or more.

“The purpose of this data collection is none other than to protect vulnerable people, ensure that energy subsidies are right on target so that the budget that has been allocated by the Government is actually enjoyed by those who are entitled to it. In the future, we hope that this data can be used to determine energy policies with the government and can prevent the potential for misuse or cases of misuse of subsidized fuel in the field," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting.
