JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) accelerates various works and guarantees that preparations are completed 100 percent before the G20 Summit (KTT) is held in Bali.

Executive Vice President Distribution of PT PLN (Persero) Regional Java, Madura and Bali, Ida Bagus Ari Wardana explained that PLN's preparations for the G20 Summit were already over 50 percent.
"Everything is on progress, especially on the reliability side, we are strengthening the generation, transmission, distribution as well as system and retail operations, which currently have reached 72.28 percent," said Ari to the media, Friday, June 24.
He said strengthening on the distribution side includes improving the construction of the supply of electrical energy and tidying up the electricity network on the routes around the place where the activity takes place.
In addition, the procurement of backup supplies, to the rejuvenation of other supporting equipment was also carried out.
Not only that, Ari added, the availability of electricity supply will also be supported by a gas power plant (PLTG), which is currently still in the relocation stage from Grati, East Java.
This PLTG will supply 2x100 megawatt (MW) of electricity to the Bali sub-system.
"Since February 2022, up to now, the PLTG relocation has reached 51.70 percent, our target is to complete 100 percent in September," he said.
For the transmission system, PLN also strengthens and improves transmission reliability by inspecting submarine cables and their accessories.
Maintenance of high-voltage submarine cables and 30 other action programs are expected to be completed in October 2022.
"The team also carried out several other supporting work, such as checking the electrical installations of the locations that will be used for activities, including hotels and tourist sites which will become the center of activities later," said Ari.
Ari also explained the readiness of the infrastructure for the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU), which currently has 56.32 percent of construction.
"The work of 21 SPKLU Fast Charging units has been completed and we are currently trying to accelerate the completion of the construction of 60 SPKLU Ultra Fast Charging units and 200 Home Charging units targeted for completion in August," he added.
The entire SPKLU that will be built later, according to Ari, will serve 492 delegate electric vehicles and 464 patrol and other operational vehicles.
Chairman of the PMO Steering Team of the Ministry of SOEs, Susyanto in his speech said that overall what PLN had conveyed was very good and his party hoped that PLN would remain consistent in overseeing the G20 Summit event.
"The various efforts made by PLN for the G20 Event are extraordinary, besides being expected to provide the best service during a series of activities, they also have an impact on the quality of electricity services for the general public," he concluded.
