BCA Opens Electric Vehicle Charging Station In BSD, Fills IDR 2,000 Can Walk 10 Km

JAKARTA – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) has just announced the opening of a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) located at the Wisma BCA Foresta complex, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang.

SVP Logistics and Building BCA Victor Teguh Sutedja said the new facility is open to the wider community for 24 hours.

"We provide two types of filling, the first with a capacity of 7 kW and the second with a capacity of 22 kW," he said when met at his office on Thursday, June 16.

According to Victor, people who want to use the facility must have a special BCA application to be able to start the charging process.

"Users must have the EV Cuzz application. Just download it on a smartphone, then connect it while in SPKLU. Done," he said.

From the exploration activities of Wisma BCA Foresta, it is known that the selling price of electricity for electric vehicles is quite cheap. BCA charges IDR 2,000 for every 1 kW that can cover a distance of about 10 Km.

"The cost is cheaper than the current conventional vehicle fuel that uses oil," said Victor.

Based on data obtained by VOI, BCA claims to have succeeded in reducing the impact of carbon emissions equivalent to 888 tons of CO2 equivalent throughout 2021 as a result of implementing work based on environmentally friendly principles.

Meanwhile, Wisma BCA Foresta is a pilot project for a company building that carries a sustainable spirit.
