Taxi Company Shares Owned By Conglomerate Purnomo Prawiro Soars 40 Percent Questioned By The Exchange, This Is Blue Bird's Answer

JAKARTA - The share price of PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) has experienced a significant increase since the closing of trading on May 25, 2022, from Rp. 1,215 to Rp. 1,700 at the close of trading on Thursday 2 June. The shares of the taxi company owned by the conglomerate Purnomo Prawiro have shot up almost 40 percent.

In fact, on trading May 30, 2022, BIRD's shares closed at Rp. 1,780 or jumped 46.5 percent from the close of trading on May 25, 2022. However, on trading on June 1, 2022, BIRD's shares closed down 6.74 percent to Rp. 1,660.

Regarding the volatility, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) requested an explanation from Blue Bird's management. Blue Bird Corporate Secretary Jusuf Salman stated that until now the company has no plans to take corporate actions that will result in the listing of the company's shares on the stock exchange, and until now the company does not have material information or facts that can affect share prices or investors' decisions.

"Until now, the company does not have any material information or facts that could affect share prices or investors' decisions," said Jusuf Salman in an information disclosure quoted on Friday, June 3.

He mentioned that there were share purchase transactions from controlling shareholders on 23 and 24 May 2022 which were reported, and the report was made to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on 27 May 2022 in accordance with OJK Regulation No.11/POJK.04/2017 .

Previously, Deputy President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) Adrianto Djokosoetono bought up 834,000 shares of the company on 23 and 24 May 2022. With this purchase, Adrianto's BIRD shares are 128,195,500 shares or 5.124 percent, from the previous 127,361. 500 shares or 5.090 percent.

In the disclosure of information, it was revealed that 420,500 shares were purchased on May 23, 2022, with details of 50,000 shares being purchased at Rp1,180, 230,500 shares at Rp1,185, and 140,000 shares at Rp1,190.
