Good News From Pertamina: Subsidized Solar Supply Is Still Safe, So Don't Panic Buying

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures that the stock and distribution of fuel runs optimally, one of which is the distribution of subsidized diesel.

Acting Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said that the current national economic growth, which is realized above 5 percent, will certainly have an effect on increasing energy needs, one of which is subsidized Solar.

In response to this, Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to ensure stock and ensure the optimal maintenance of the distribution process in the field.

"National stock of subsidized diesel is at the level of 20 days and every day this stock as well as the distribution process to gas stations continues to be monitored in real time. However, it is necessary to note that nationally as of February the distribution of subsidized solar has exceeded the quota by around 10 percent," explained Irto in his official statement, Tuesday 22 March.

Irto continued that Pertamina Patra Niaga would continue to monitor the entire distribution process from the fuel terminal to consumers to ensure that gas stations were always available for fuel. Specifically for subsidized diesel, the company will focus on services in logistics and routes whose use is entitled to enjoy them.

"So people don't need to worry and don't need to panic buying. We urge the purchase of fuel to be in accordance with needs and to remain efficient in its use considering that currently oil prices are very expensive," he continued.

Referring to Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014, users who are entitled to subsidized Solar for the transportation sector are black plate motor vehicles for transporting people or goods, yellow plate motorized vehicles except for cars transporting mining and plantation products with more than 6 wheels, public service vehicles (ambulance, fire engine, waste carriers), Indonesian-flagged public transport ships, pioneer ships, as well as general passenger and freight trains.

To ensure that users who are entitled to subsidized Solar can be understood by the public, Irto continued, Pertamina together with all stakeholders and the Government through BPH Migas will continue to improve education and socialization regarding the regulations that have been made regarding the distribution of subsidized Solar.

"Solar subsidies are in accordance with their designation, so that subsidized diesel users will be right on target and the public will be wiser in using fuel according to the specifications of their vehicle engines. For industry players and the people who can afford it, we urge you to use non-subsidized diesel fuel such as Dexlite and Pertamina Dex, and subsidized diesel. can be used by our brothers who are more entitled and need it," explained Irto.

Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to cooperate with the community, the Government, and all related parties in supervising Solar subsidies so that they are more targeted. If there are indications of misuse of subsidized Solar, the public can report directly to the authorities, and if the fault lies with the gas station, Pertamina will not hesitate to take action on the gas station.
