JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani admitted that she received a lot of support to realize the development agenda for the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago which is one of the government's priority programs.

According to the Minister of Finance, this support is often received when he attends various important international forums and meets a number of colleagues. For this reason, he is not too worried about the attitude of one of the potential IKN investors who backs down from the commitment to the development of the National Capital of the Archipelago.

“As the Minister of Finance, many people have asked about IKN on various occasions. Then they asked again if there were opportunities and opportunities to invest," he said during a discussion with conglomerate Chairul Tanjung on the CNBC channel, Tuesday, March 22.

Minister of Finance Added that the same thing also happened to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who received attention from leaders of other countries for the plan to move the capital city.

"The president met with many heads of state and they said they would support Indonesia," he said.

For information, the state treasurer's statement is a response to the decision of the international financial institution Softbank to withdraw support for IKN development. The Minister of Finance said that Softbank's attitude must be respected considering that there is no binding cooperation agreement with the Indonesian government.

“Yesterday many people said Softbank was cancelled. If they say this (within the scope of) an expression of interest, everyone can say the same thing," he said.

To note, apart from SoftBank, another strategic investor who is said to be ready to support IKN development comes from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Unmitigated, it is suspected that the Middle Eastern party will disburse fresh funds of 20 billion US dollars as an investment commitment.
