JAKARTA - The Singkawang City Office, West Kalimantan, has ensured the availability of safe cooking oil ahead of Ramadan until Eid in May 2022.

"Based on the policy that has been regulated by the Ministry of Trade together with the sub-player (PT Wilmar), that they guarantee the availability of cooking oil from distributors to modern and traditional shops with a note that it complies with the rules that apply in the market considering that the HET has been revoked. government," said the Head of Disperindagkop and UKM Singkawang Muslimin Singkawang, West Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 21.

To ensure the availability, his party together with the Food Task Force continue to monitor it even though it is true that not all stores have cooking oil stocks.

"For some markets, both modern and traditional, there are already existing ones, but the prices vary greatly. This is because the market mechanism has already been implemented," he said.

According to him, the monitoring is carried out solely to ensure there is assurance from both Wilmar and the Ministry of Trade that cooking oil stocks remain on the market.

Regarding bulk cooking oil, the HET set by the government is Rp. 14,500 per liter or Rp. 15,500 per kilogram.

Regarding bulk cooking oil, his party continues to monitor and even coordinate with the West Kalimantan Industry and Trade Department and PT Wilmar, considering that the distribution is different from packaged cooking oil.

"So in addition to packaging cooking oil, we will also carry out special monitoring regarding bulk cooking oil. We make special efforts in the holy month of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr, it is hoped that there will be an allocation of bulk cooking oil, because in accordance with the applicable regulations, bulk cooking oil is still available HET determined," he said.
