Pertamina: Indonesian People Are Enthusiastic To Watch The MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix Live

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) claims that the Indonesian people are very enthusiastic to watch the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP motorcycle race in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Not only local residents, people from other regions also came to Lombok to witness the history of the holding of an international racing event like MotoGP held in Indonesia.

Among other things, the claim was based on the sale of souvenirs from the event in the form of T-shirts with the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit picture being sold at Lombok International Airport.

"We are trying our best to provide an atmosphere of joy and excitement at the MotoGP event, which has only been held in Indonesia since 25 years ago," said Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fajriyah Usman, in an official statement, as reported by Antara, Saturday, March 19.

As the main sponsor, according to Fajriyah, Pertamina has also opened special outlets around the circuit area that sells official Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia souvenirs while conveying information related to Pertamina products, such as Pertamax Turbo, Enduro lubricants, and the MyPertamina application.

Not only selling commercially, Pertamina also presents murals in the north and south side of the circuit, which are the result of collaboration with 50 artists, both from West Nusa Tenggara and other cities in Indonesia.

These artists are members of the largest graffiti community in Asia, namely Gardu House, Darbotz, and Stereoflow, who jointly worked on this artwork in the 14 days before the MotoGP event started.

"We want to build a lively atmosphere on the circuit. In addition, this (mural) is a form of support and collaboration with artists, both from NTB and also other regions, in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia," said Fajriyah. Pertamina, continued Fajriyah, cannot be separated from President Joko Widodo's instructions regarding efforts to develop five super priority tourism destinations, one of which is Lombok, NTB, with its Mandalika Circuit. "Pertamina synergizes with the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which is a fellow BUMN to support the development of the Mandalika International Circuit," said Fajriyah.
