Record 2.2 Million Patient Visits, Prodia Profits Soar 131 Percent To Rp621.62 Billion

JAKARTA – Prodia's laboratory management company, PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk (PRDA) posted a net profit of IDR 621.62 billion in 2021. This figure grew by 131.3 compared to the previous year.

"This achievement shows the resilience of the business model, the strength of Prodia's core business and operational excellence," said Prodia President Director Dewi Muliaty in a statement, Tuesday, March 15.

Prodia's net profit achievement cannot be separated from sales growth and expense management. The company's net income rose 41.6 percent to Rp. 2.65 trillion, compared to the previous year of Rp. 1.87 trillion.

According to Dewi, 2021 will be a year full of challenges, including for companies in the health sector. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company was still able to record net revenue growth, maintain Prodia's profitability performance while still prioritizing the safety, health and safety of employees and customers.

"The company has also succeeded in adapting to the dynamics of the current situation by staying focused on optimizing productivity, controlling costs, utilizing technology to improve services for customers, and maintaining revenue and profit growth," said Dewi.

Throughout 2021, the number of inspections reached 19.6 million and the number of visits reached 3.6 million. The number of esoteric test requests increased by 39.2 percent in 2021 to 2.2 million tests.

Esoteric test revenue will increase by 42.7 percent in 2021 to IDR 999.2 billion. Routine test revenue also increased 40.1 percent over the same period in the previous year.

Meanwhile, the company also noted that the number of customer visits (patient visits) increased by 8.2 percent to more than 2.2 million in 2021.

As additional information, the company's total assets in 2021 will reach Rp2.72 trillion, consisting of current assets of Rp1.77 trillion and non-current assets of Rp949.50 billion. In addition, total equity increased to Rp2.25 trillion compared to the previous year which reached Rp1.79 trillion.
