Guaranteeing Electricity Safety, Director General Of Gatrik Launches Si Ujang Gatrik Application

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy, Resources and Minerals (ESDM) through the Director General of Electricity has launched an application for the Electric Power Support Services Business Information System or Si Ujang Gatrik, which is called an application to support the fulfillment of safety in the electricity sector.

The Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana, explained that Si Ujang Gatrik was an integration of several electricity services that were already running online. “Electricity services such as competency certification for electrical engineering personnel (SKTTK), Business Entity Certification (SBU), and Operational Eligibility Certification (SLO),” he said, in a Webinar on Electrical Connections in accordance with Electricity Safety Provisions, Thursday, March 10.

Rida continued, in the Si Ujang Gatrik application there are services that make it easier for the public to access the nearest electrical installer who has a business license for Electrical Installation and Development Services.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources requires an Electricity Installation Identity Number (NIDI) as one of the requirements for the issuance of an Operational Eligibility Certificate (SLO) for electrical installation services. This is necessary so that electrical installations can be ensured to operate safely.

"Through Si Ujang Gatrik, it is hoped that the public and business actors in the electricity sub-sector can easily find and access electrical power support services, especially business entities for construction and installation," he explained.

The provision of NIDI is based on the results of reporting work carried out by electrical installers from business entities holding business licenses through the Gatrik Application.

"Like a birth certificate for a baby, NIDI is a birth certificate of an electric power installation that contains detailed information from an electric power installation. NIDI is used as a prerequisite for the application for Operational Eligibility Certification (SLO)," he concluded.
