JAKARTA - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Wimboh Santoso today inaugurated the new OJK representative office building in Purwokerto, Central Java.
In his remarks, Wimboh had high hopes that the authorities could help the business world to increase intermediation (credit) in the OJK Purwokerto working area.
"The OJK Purwokerto office must actively pick up the ball and always synergize with various elements of the regional government, Bank Indonesia, academia, the financial services industry and other strategic partners so that our presence here can support the acceleration of regional economic recovery," he said via a virtual channel on Tuesday, 8 March.
According to Wimboh, OJK representative offices in the regions can increase their role in providing easy, fast, and affordable financial access, especially for MSME players.
"Sectors that have the potential to grow need to be encouraged to recover to take advantage of the momentum of economic recovery that has become a national program, by expanding employment opportunities and sectors that still need support before they can operate normally again," he said.
On this occasion, Wimboh again reminded the role of OJK as the spearhead of supervision of the financial services industry, increasing public financial literacy, and providing protection for consumers.
