JAKARTA - Slowly but surely, PT PLN (Persero) continues to pursue the certification of its land assets. From 2019 until the end of 2021, PLN has certified 71,026 parcels of land assets.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said this figure was equivalent to 67 percent of the company's total land assets which reached 106,656 parcels. For this reason, this year PLN targets 15,037 land parcels to be certified.
"If the target in 2022 is realized, the certified land assets will increase to 86,063 land parcels or 81 percent," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, February 8.
In order to achieve this target, PLN also cooperates with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN). The goal, of course, is to speed up the land certification process.
"PLN realizes that the task of securing state assets entrusted to PLN will be more challenging in the future. With the signing of a joint commitment today, we are increasingly confident that this synergy will be able to provide the best results," he said.
Darmawan also targets that all state assets used by PLN can be 100 percent certified by 2023. Moreover, the state-owned assets used by PLN are used to provide reliable electricity services for the community.
He detailed, from the total target assets that have received certificates in 2022, they are divided by region, for the Sumatra and Kalimantan areas as many as 6,860 parcels with new certificates and 83 extensions.
"Java, Madura and Bali areas are 4,556 newly certified land parcels and 189 extended land parcels. Meanwhile, for the Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua and Nusa Tenggara regions there are 3,621 newly certified land parcels and 286 extension plots," said Darmawan explaining.
PLN will also accelerate the certification process for 50 parcels of land assets that must be certified immediately for the construction of power plants.
Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN Himawan Arief Sugoto said the certification process for PLN would be a priority. In line with the work pattern that has been established for the past two years, he is also optimistic that the targets set can be achieved with the joint efforts of all parties.
"Especially for towers, we have proposed to change regulations such as high-rise buildings that can be directly extended," said Himawan.
Himawan added that his party plans to switch the certificate to electronic. Especially for assets that are not widely transacted, such as assets belonging to PLN, so that their security is guaranteed.
