Minister Of Public Works and Public Housing Allocates IDR 505 Billion For Preparation For The Presidency Of The G20 Summit In Bali

JAKARTA - The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing or PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono has allocated Rp505.9 billion for the Preparation of the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Summit in Bali this year.

"Preparations for the Indonesian Presidency for the G20 Summit in Bali amount to IDR 505.9 billion," Minister Basuki said in a working meeting with Commission V of the House of Representatives (DPR), reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 25.

According to the Minister of PUPR, the preparations include Restructuring the Mangrove Area of Tahura Ngurah Rai, where all heads of state participating in the G20 Summit will be shown Indonesia's policies in a green economy or green economy by expanding Mangroves in Indonesia.

Then the repair and preservation of the Pesanggaran - Nusa Dua, Jimbaran - Uluwatu Interchange Roads and Bridges, and the Landscape Arrangement of roundabouts, pedestrians, and the median of the Ngurah Rai Airport - Venue road, as well as the improvement of the Siligita - Kempinski intersection road.

"These are the routes that will be traversed by the heads of state participating in the G20 Summit, considering that the vehicles used by the heads of state are bullet-proof vehicles with heavyweights, so we check all bridges that will be traversed by a group of 39 heads of state participating in the G20 Summit," said Minister Basuki.

In addition to getting tasks related to the Preparation of the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Summit in Bali, the Ministry of PUPR was also assigned to Prepare for the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The Minister of PUPR said that for the preparation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Tana Mori, Labuan Bajo, NTT, IDR 525.8 billion was allocated.

The preparations include upgrading, widening, building roads and bridges in Labuan Bajo - Simpang Nalis - Simpang Kenari, Sipang Kenari - Tanamori. In addition, the Ministry of PUPR will also improve the Loh Buaya Tourism Support Facilities on Rinca Island.

The preparation of the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Bali Summit and the preparation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in NTT are part of a special assignment given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to the Ministry of PUPR to carry out infrastructure development with a total planned budget requirement of IDR 2.7 trillion.

This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 116 of 2021 concerning the Acceleration of the Implementation of Infrastructure Development to Support the Implementation of International Events in the Province of Bali, DKI Jakarta Province, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, and NTT Province.
